Tots and Tales

Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 1 September 2026

Welcome to Tots & Tales Ltd. These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of our website and to all bookings and attendance at Tots & Tales and Tiny Tots classes and other sessions provided by us.

By making a booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Us

Tots & Tales Ltd is a UK-registered company providing interactive, play-based classes for babies, toddlers and preschool children.

Our classes currently include:

Tots & Tales – designed for children aged approximately 2–5 years.

Tiny Tots – designed for babies and toddlers from sitting independently to approximately 2 years.

All sessions are held in person at our designated venues. Age ranges are provided as a guide and parents/carers remain responsible for deciding whether a class and its activities are suitable for their child.

2. Booking & Payment

Classes may be booked as trial sessions, Pay As You Go (PAYG) sessions or full-term bookings, depending on availability.

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your child’s place.

All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include any applicable taxes.

Places are subject to availability and are only secured once payment has been successfully received.

3. Trial Sessions

Trial sessions are offered subject to availability and must be booked in advance.

A trial session gives families the opportunity to experience a Tots & Tales or Tiny Tots class before making further bookings.

Attending a trial session does not guarantee availability for subsequent PAYG sessions or a full-term place.

4. PAYG & Full-Term Bookings

PAYG places are subject to availability for each individual session.

A full-term booking reserves your child’s place for the sessions included within the advertised term.

If your child joins part-way through a term, any booking options and prices available will be displayed at the time of booking.

5. Cancellations, Refunds & Missed Sessions

If your child is unable to attend a booked session, please let us know as soon as possible.

As class places, staffing and resources are planned in advance, missed sessions are normally non-refundable and cannot automatically be credited or transferred to another date.

Where possible, and entirely at the discretion of Tots & Tales Ltd, we may allow a booking to be moved to another available session. This cannot be guaranteed.

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

6. Cancellation or Changes by Tots & Tales

Tots & Tales Ltd reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, relocate or make reasonable changes to a class where necessary. This may be due to circumstances such as staff illness, venue issues, severe weather or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If Tots & Tales Ltd cancels a session, we will aim to offer an alternative session, credit or appropriate refund for the affected class.

Class activities and content may occasionally vary from those advertised.

7. Parent & Carer Supervision

Parents and carers are responsible for the supervision, behaviour and safety of their child at all times during a session.

Tots & Tales and Tiny Tots are parent/carer-and-child classes. Children must not be left unattended at any time.

Unless otherwise agreed with us in advance, we ask that one responsible adult attends with each child.

Parents and carers must follow any reasonable safety instructions provided by the class leader or venue.

8. Tiny Tots & Baby Safety

Tiny Tots activities are carefully selected with babies and younger toddlers in mind. However, children develop at different rates and parents/carers know their child best.

Babies and young children naturally explore objects using their mouths, so close adult supervision is essential throughout all activities.

Parents/carers are responsible for assessing whether an individual object, material or activity is appropriate for their child’s age, developmental stage and individual needs.

If you are unsure about an activity or material, please speak to the class leader before allowing your child to participate.

9. Sensory, Messy & Water Play

Our classes involve a range of hands-on activities and may include sensory play, messy play, water play, paint, dough, foam and other play materials.

Some sensory activities may use food-based materials.

Participation in individual activities is always optional.

Parents/carers are responsible for closely supervising their child and should prevent children from intentionally eating play materials unless an activity is specifically described as suitable for consumption.

Please inform us before attending if your child has any known allergies, intolerances, skin sensitivities or other conditions that could affect their participation.

Where possible, information about materials used will be available so that parents/carers can make an informed decision about their child’s participation.

10. Allergies, Medical Conditions & Additional Needs

Parents/carers are responsible for informing Tots & Tales Ltd of any allergies, medical conditions, disabilities or additional needs that may be relevant to their child’s safe participation.

Please contact us before attending if you are unsure whether a particular class or activity will be suitable for your child.

We aim to provide welcoming and inclusive classes and will make reasonable adjustments where practicable.

11. Illness & Hygiene

For the wellbeing of all families attending our classes, please do not attend if your child or accompanying adult is unwell or has an illness that could reasonably be passed to others.

Children experiencing vomiting or diarrhoea should not attend until at least 48 hours after the last episode.

Children with a fever or who are clearly unwell should remain at home until they have recovered.

If your child has symptoms of a contagious illness, including conditions such as chickenpox, hand, foot and mouth disease, impetigo, scarlet fever or norovirus, please follow current NHS guidance regarding attendance at group settings.

Tots & Tales Ltd reserves the right to ask a family not to participate in a session where we reasonably believe attendance could present an infection risk to others.

12. Health & Safety During Classes

Please use equipment and resources only as intended and follow any instructions provided by the class leader.

Parents/carers should take particular care around water, messy-play materials and loose parts and maintain close supervision appropriate to their child’s age and developmental stage.

While reasonable care is taken to provide a safe environment, participation in children’s play and physical activities carries the normal risks associated with play.

13. Photography & Video

Parents/carers are welcome to take photographs of their own child during a session unless advised otherwise.

Please take reasonable care to avoid photographing or filming other children without permission from their parent/carer.

Video recording of the class leader, story time, songs or substantial parts of a session is not permitted without prior permission from Tots & Tales Ltd.

From time to time, Tots & Tales may take photographs or videos for use on our website, social media or other promotional materials. We will only intentionally photograph or film your child for Tots & Tales promotional purposes where appropriate consent has been obtained.

14. Clothing & Personal Belongings

Please dress your child appropriately for play. Our sessions can involve water, paint, sensory materials and messy play, so we recommend clothing that you do not mind getting messy.

Where requested by Tots & Tales or required by the venue, outdoor shoes should be removed before entering designated play areas.

Tots & Tales Ltd cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to a session, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

15. Liability

Tots & Tales Ltd will take reasonable care in planning and delivering its classes and activities.

Parents/carers remain responsible for supervising their child and ensuring that they participate safely and appropriately.

By booking and attending, you confirm that your child is able to participate in the class and that you will inform us of any relevant information that could affect their safe participation.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

16. Intellectual Property

The Tots & Tales name, branding, website content, class materials, activity plans, photographs, graphics and other original content are the property of Tots & Tales Ltd or their respective rights holders.

They must not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used commercially without prior permission.

17. Privacy & Personal Information

We collect and process personal information where necessary to manage bookings, communicate with families and safely provide our services.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data-protection law and our Privacy Policy.

We will not sell your personal information to third parties.

Please see our separate Privacy Policy for further information about how your personal information is collected, stored and used.

18. Behaviour & Respect for Others

We want Tots & Tales and Tiny Tots to provide a relaxed, welcoming and safe environment for children and adults.

We ask all families to behave respectfully towards other children, parents/carers, staff and venue users.

Tots & Tales Ltd reserves the right to ask someone to leave a session where behaviour presents a safety concern or causes serious or repeated disruption to other families.

19. Changes to These Terms

Tots & Tales Ltd reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, including where our classes, booking arrangements or legal requirements change.

The most up-to-date version will be published on our website.
